Trello is basically a web-based Kanban board software where each board represents a project. Each board consists of cards (or tasks) and each card consists of lists. A Trello board is basically a list of lists – each list consisting of cards (tasks). Users can create a card using a drag & drop interface, add users to it and add comments, checklists, due dates, and labels to it. You can even upload documents & images to a card.
Trello works in real-time. It will automatically notify other users when they’ve been assigned a task, or one of their tasks has been updated. When someone adds a new card or moves it around, it will automatically update it on your board.
Trello also allows its users to communicate and collaborate with each other in real-time. It also keeps everyone in sync through automatic notifications, emails and activity logs.

All in all, it’s a great task management and collaboration software for small and medium businesses. However, it does lack the features present in traditional project management software, such as time tracking, Gantt charts, project reporting tools, and traditional task management.

Trello is a great task management and team collaboration software. It’s ease of use and flexibility make it useful for organizing any kind of work. But it lacks some of the usual project management features found in other project management software. It’s great for agencies that work with clients, or for small businesses to organize tasks that are not time-bound and don’t have many dependencies.
